The Mission Motor empowers the farmed and wild animal welfare movement to systematically collect and use data and insights to increase their impact, by training, co-creating, and promoting the informed use of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) practices.

Without collecting reliable data, we can't determine if projects are working properly and if they are effective.

Even interventions that are effective in other contexts, or have been effective in the past, can generate different results now.

Why Monitor & Evaluate?

We offer free training and support for animal advocacy organizations to:

  1. ensure that the right data is gathered as a basis to continuously improve processes and interventions,

  2. increase the evidence base underpinning interventions,

  3. make the highest achievable impact.

What do we do?

Organizations qualify for our support if they:

  1. Implement programs to end intensive animal factory farming or wild animal suffering

  2. Want to discover if and why their interventions work

  3. Have the capacity to work with us, and

  4. Can make changes based on the data and insights they collect.

For who?

If you meet these criteria, and have questions about e.g. stakeholder analysis, designing a Theory of Change, gathering reliable data, survey and interview design, or any other question about monitoring and evaluation, just reach out!

Due to a high volume of support requests, we are currently unable to accept new organizations. We will revise our services to better meet your needs and expect to share more details by April 1st.
